Instagram announced that it has extended the duration of its Stories section. At this point, the new time becomes 60 seconds.
Instagram has recently started testing a major change in its Stories section. This allowed users to post photos and short videos that remained live for 24 hours. The social media platform is now ahead of Snapchat and TikTok applications with its new feature. At this point, the maximum video length in the Instagram Stories section increases to 60 seconds.
Currently, the social media platform is warning some users about the change. If you take the phone in your hand and record a video longer than 15 seconds, the video is divided into parts. With this feature, you can upload videos to Stories up to 60 seconds without having to split the videos.
Instagram has opened its new Stories feature to some users
The company announced that it is not only testing this feature, but also testing another innovation. At this point it makes it even easier to mention other accounts and add a location to a post. It continues testing on a new interface for posting stories. Some users are currently accessing all the features we have mentioned. It remains unclear when Instagram will make it available to all users.
Instagram in an innovation race with TikTok and Snapchat
TikTok is getting more and more popular. Snapchat, on the other hand, recently introduced a standalone app for creators to edit their videos. At this point, it is not surprising that Instagram also makes the platform more attractive.
